  1. I'd be curious to hear you guys opinion on Ben Wheatley's Free Fire. I generally like him, but I think it's his more entertaining one. Don't let the presence of Armie Hammer stop you

    1. I remember seeing FREE FIRE and thinking it was ok! I'm still trying to figure Ben Wheatley out. I've never fully disliked one of his that I've seen except that REBECCA remake but I still don't understand who he is as a filmmaker.

    2. That's what i like about him. None of his movies resemble the other, and they're always something off the beaten path. Like in Free Fire, it's an hour long gunfight, but they're all crawling around for one reason or another, the whole time, and they can't shoot for sh1t.

  2. I’m glad to hear everyone have positive feelings on this movie. I, too, am in the age range of people that has great love and nostalgia for it. A personal favorite song is “Nobody Else But You,” which always made me emotional and still stands out to me.

  3. is that really the last theatrical animated feature Disney has produced using one of their core characters? (mickey, minnie, donald, goofy) That seems so strange.

  4. Gloria (1980) is maybe the most accessible Cassavetes movie, and Gena Rowlands gives yet another powerhouse performance in it. However, it's not really like any of his other movies so not sure if that makes it a good entry-point or not. Awesome movie though.

    Great ep!
