DeleteExcellent! Thank you Patrick.
DeleteI reckon Patrick and Mike hit the nail on the head regarding Rob Zombie’s take on Halloween. Demystifying Michael Myers by giving him that long, trashy back-story in the asylum completely strips away what made Carpenter's original version so terrifying. When you explain every single psychological trigger, he stops being an unstoppable force of nature and just becomes another tragic true-crime subject. It reminded me of trying to analyse complex Statistics Assignment Topics—break a scary concept down into too many calculated variables, and you lose the bigger, unpredictable picture. Still, Tyler Mane's pure physical presence was impressive. Did anyone else feel like the second half rushed through the classic beat-for-beat remake just to get it over with?
