Ladies Behind the Lens: Supersized Edition

On January 1st of this year, I made a movie resolution: I would watch at least one film per week directed by a woman. I’m happy to say that as of this writing, I’ve seen 96 movies by women in 2019 and hope to hit 100 before the clock strikes midnight on December 31. The funny thing is, I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface of all the amazing women directors and their filmographies. If anything, this year-long viewing party has made me eager to seek out even more movies by female filmmakers.
