I think we would all agree that one of the most magical experiences that comes with loving movies is crossing paths with just the right one at just the right time. What’s bizarre is that the same movie at an otherwise less perfect time might not have the same effect on us.

7 Movies in Which an Adult Child Confronts an Estranged Parent
by Doug Schultz
Whilst watching Inside Llewyn Davis (a truly excellent film, so brace yourself for this NITPICK), I was struck (STRUCK!) by how often films depict scenes in which a child confronts his or her estranged parent. Whether it be visiting a mother with dementia in a nursing home, or confronting a dickhead father who used to molest you, these movie kids JUST WANT A LITTLE CLOSURE (and maybe a hug? Let's not get greedy). Disclaimer: this list is by no means complete -- can you think of more?

Review: Inside Llewyn Davis

Heath Holland On...Expectations, Great.
Sometimes the thing standing between me and enjoyment of a movie is myself. And that fat guy at the concession stand.
