In this special two-part crossover event, Patrick and Saturday Night Movie Sleepovers co-host Blake Fichera cover a pair of 1985 werewolf movies. First up is this underrated Stephen King classic!
I'm a huge fan of Stephen King, but Cell is not one of my favorite novels he's written. It stands to reason, I guess, that the movie version of Cell isn't one of my favorite Stephen King movies.
Novels: 54. Made for TV movies and mini-series: 21. Theatrically Released Movies: 36. And with most of his works now available on Audiobook, I basically have a format for most any mood in which I can get my Stephen King fix on.
For their 25th show together, Patrick and JB discuss Frank Darabont's 2007 movie The Mist, plus conspiracy theories, ironic endings, the role of religion in Hollywood movies and the sexual merits of Adam Sandler in drag.
When properly adapted, Stephen King’s books make GREAT movies, but I could not resist the temptation to shit on some of the AWFUL ones. I only hope that in doing this, I haven’t accidentally unleashed a murderous alien Poo Monster.
by Patrick BromleyFew authors have had more of their novels, short stories and grocery lists turned into movies as Stephen King. Many of them (most of them?) don't survive the translation to the screen, but they're all worth seeing. No made-for-TV movies, which eliminates about half of the list.
by Patrick Bromley Werewolves are awesome movie monsters, so it makes sense that there would be so few actual good werewolf movies. Time to learn that the hard way.
In the second part of this special Halloween episode, Patrick and JB take on 10 of the worst horror movies ever made, from killer rabbits to killer Coke machines to killer wind.
