You're So Cool, Wixson
by Patrick Bromley
Today is my very good friend Heather Wixson's birthday. Happy birthday, Heather! I'm not writing this piece in lieu of a gift, although it is considerably cheaper than that collection of autographed Underworld one-sheets she no doubt wants ("The Lord of the Rings of werewolf movies!" -- Heather Wixson) . No, I'm writing this because it deserves to be said.

Welcome to Prime Time: A Look Back at Dream Warriors
by Anya Novak
Thirty years ago this week, audiences flocked to the theater to see the release of the third Nightmare on Elm Street film. Dream Warriors has since topped horror fans’ NOES rankings and stands as my personal favorite of the entire franchise. When it comes time to choose an Elm Street movie to watch, I keep returning to Weston Hills Psychiatric Hospital to witness a group of troubled teens turn their weaknesses into strengths, and go toe-to-toe with pure evil.

Staying Positive: Freddy vs. Jason
by Adam Thas
Somewhere in a dark and gloomy boardroom, a few movie producers concocted a devious plot to attain great sums of money by putting two of the greatest villains of the '80s horror together in one epic money grab. Okay, that probably isn’t exactly how it went, but in 2003 I could not have been more excited for my generation’s version of The Wolfman vs. Dracula in an epic drag out brawl.

F This Movie! - The Nightmare on Elm Street Franchise
Patrick and Mike close out Scary Movie Month with their annual franchise retrospective, this time turning their attention to the man with burns on his face, knives for fingers and hundreds of horrible, horrible jokes.
