I'm not the biggest fan of the Muppets, but I'd be lying if I said the two recent Twitter-themed trailers for their upcoming Muppets Most Wanted weren't really funny. Well done, Henson's ghost! #Muppets4Life #YOLO

Watchin' Trailerz with Doug (Jan. 10)

This week, a long-lost trailer for Louis C.K.'s 1998 film Tomorrow Night, featuring a young Steve Carell and J.B. Smoove (among other comics), was posted on YouTube. Look, I'd be lying if I said the film didn't look like film school 101 baloney, but it's Louis C.K., so whatever. Believe it or not, this movie actually screened at the Sundance Film Festival. Next month, you'll have the opportunity to purchase it from Louie's website for only $5. If that's your thing. Again, looks crappy, but it's Louis C.K., so whatever.

It's not even Chrimbus, and I feel like we're already drowning in previews for next year's summer blockbusters. I'm not complaining; just an observation. That's what I do around here: make dumb observations. I'm like the Andy Rooney of F This Movie! "Didja ever wonder why movie trailers are called trailers when they're shown BEFORE the movie?" RIP.

Well, this is interesting. A movie theater in Florida (WHERE ELSE?) accidentally played the Nymphomaniac trailer before the new Disney movie, Frozen. As I'm sure you know, Nymphomaniac is Lars von Trier's upcoming film about sex addiction. If you want to see the NSFW trailer for yourself, here it is (this is a link to Vimeo, as the preview was removed from YouTube last month for having TOO MUCH sexual content and nudity). Be warned: it is VERY graphic.

Watch the very first 1976 teaser for Star Wars, here. Better yet, watch a version of the preview filled with bloopers: Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Derp. If you're STILL not satisfied, watch the entire recently rediscovered blooper reel, here. It's pretty great.

Do you know how weird it is to write about non-horror previews on Halloween? DO YOU? "Pretty weird," -your mouth hole. Alas, #ScaryMovieMonth 2013 has shuffled off this mortal coil. While it was "tons of fun" (Patrick's high school nickname), it's over Johnny. IT'S OVER. Listen, we're all adults with adult-sized brains so we're fully capable of moving on, right? I mean, November has stuff to offer too, like Daylight Saving Time and Albanian Independence Day and Cyber Monday ... OK, now I'm bummed. Here's some fucking trailerz. ENJOY.

The sun is shining. Leaves are changing colors. It's #ScaryMovieMonth, goshdarnit! LIFE IS GOOD. That being said, let's look at trailerz for some of the most depressing horror films out there (*Note: most of these movies are quite good and/or I find them enjoyable; it might just be their endings that are soul-crushing). Quite a twist, eh? Bet you didn't see that one coming.
