Adam and Alison Watch Christmas Movies, Part 1: HOLIDAY IN THE WILD

by Adam Thas and Alison Thas
Hey there F This Movie! readers. If you’ve been a fan of the site for a while, you probably know me -- Adam Thas. However I’m going to introduce you to my wife Alison. My wife loves Christmas movies….. like, LOVES them. And not the movies you’re thinking of. Sure, she likes the big name ones, but like a daredevil searching for the next rush, she has gone past that world to the “movies that shall not be named.” The ones you only find on streaming services and cable. She loves them and watches them on a steady stream from the Friday after Thanksgiving all the way through Christmas. Most of the time I walk into the room and abruptly walk out whenever they’re on, but this year I tried something different. This year I decided to give it a chance, full-on trust falling into my wife’s arms and letting her take me into the fantastic world of Christmas movies.

Sh!#ting on the Classics: John Irving Adaptations

Once again this week, I will be shitting on the geniuses in Hollywood who take works of literature and turn them into bad movies. Sometimes these producers and directors collude with the author, making the author partially responsible for the risible adaptations that result. The reason for that is simple.  These people are not geniuses. They are demons.

Watchin' Trailerz with Doug (December 16)

Back in July, I lamented the absence of the [then] new teaser for Battleship (release date: May 18, 2012) on YouTube. This week, the second full-length preview debuted online, which shows more of the backstory (SPOILER: it's aliens). Because Battleship was being such a dick in the summer, I'm not going to feature it today. If you really, REALLY want to see it, feel free to click one of these links. Maybe you'll get lucky! Also, for what it's worth, the U.S. Navy hasn't had an actual battleship in its fleet for nearly two decades. So ... GOOD JOB HASBRO!
