Review: Safety Not Guaranteed

by Patrick Bromley
With its quirky indie premise, its indie rock soundtrack and the fact that it stars one of today's indie movie darlings, it would be easy to dismiss Safety Not Guaranteed as warmed-over Sundance fodder by way of 1997 -- "hipster bullshit," as at least one internet commenter has stated. Watchin' Trailerz with Doug (May 18)

If you haven't already heard, it's totally BABY CITY around here (population: Patrick, his lovely wife, Erika, and their BRAND NEW BABY, who, I'm told, is ADORABLE [unfortunately, I'm not allowed to see her, for fear I may infect her with BRAIN CLOUD]). As I type this, F This Movie! is literally knee-deep in meconium. I spoke to our fearless leader yesterday, and he was all, "Come on baby. Baby, baby, baby, baby, baby."  True story! Let's watch some trailerz, and secretly pretend that Patrick is our father, too.
